Weekend Casual – Brunch At Southport Gorcery & Cafe

A Weekend Casual Outfit Idea For Brunch @ The Southport Grocery & Cafe

Style Tips:

  • There’s no doubt most of us immediately gravitate toward our jeans when comes to putting together our weekend casual outfit.  This season there are several new denim cuts but the one stand-out is the straight-leg style, particularly in an ankle length.  This rag & bone pair is perfect for wearing with either flats or heels.  Plus, the woven construction has a comfortable stretch and a mid-rise making them ideal for style and comfort.  Last, we are loving the raw edge (frayed) hem!
  • If you haven’t heard by now, mules are the shoe of the season and were all over the Spring 2016 runways.  Mules are slip-on styles and have been in and out of style throughout the years and this year they’re absolutely in! Be it flat, mid heel, or high heel there’s a mule for every outfit.  We’ve already noted one of our favorite pair in our Obsession Of The Day post which combines two trends, mules and fringe.  These Alberto Fermani stacked heels are casual yet sophisticated in a rich suede with a contrasting leather strap.
  • In a previous Styling Secrets post we talking about fashion myths, one of which was wearing denim and denim.  Well, if fashion muse Olivia Polermo is wearing denim and denim as seen here, you can bet we’ll be seeing it more and more. The key is to add elements that break up the tonality such as a belt, scarf, cardigan or jewelry.  Here we used the gold B-Low The Belt tie belt to do just that.  Along with weekend casual denim looks, this tie belt also works nicely with dresses, skirts, and shorts.
